Cookie policy
A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to keep. This shop uses them only to work: to remember your basket, to keep you signed in during checkout, and to remember that you have confirmed your age.
What this shop sets
- Basket cookies, set by the shop software, holding what is in your basket so it survives moving between pages.
- A session cookie, so the checkout knows that the basket and the address belong to the same visit.
- An age confirmation, "cod_age_verified", so you are not asked on every visit. It lasts 30 days and holds nothing but the fact that you confirmed.
- A sign-in cookie, only if you choose to create an account and log in.
Your chosen language is not a cookie: it is part of the web address, which is why a page in Dutch stays in Dutch when you share the link.
What this shop does not set
No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party cookies of any kind. Nothing here follows you to another website, and no cookie on this shop is read by anyone but us.
Counting visits
We do count how many people read each page, using a privacy-friendly analytics tool that reads and writes nothing in your browser. It records that a page was viewed and where the visit came from, never who viewed it, so there is no cookie for it to set and no identifier for it to keep.
That is why you are not shown a consent banner. Consent is for storing things on your device and for following you between websites, and neither happens here. A banner asking permission for tracking that is not happening trains people to click through the banners that matter.
Managing them
Every browser can show, block and clear cookies, and clearing your browser data removes all of ours. The cookie settings page also lets you undo your age confirmation on its own.
Blocking the cookies listed above will stop the basket and the checkout from working. There is no version of this shop that sells you something without remembering what you put in the basket.
